Nicole & Stephen eloped to Auchen Castle in June 2025 with just themselves and their two young children. The weather was a scorcher – one of those heatwave days – and it made their outdoor ceremony in the gardens next to the water feature absolutely magical. The kids each had a wee seat to sit on, and it was just the perfect intimate set-up.

Nicole’s multicoloured hair, her leather jacket, and heart-shaped sunglasses brought so much personality to their day. The couple was so fun and relaxed – their elopement felt completely theirs. I even managed some creative photos of the four of them together with their children.

We made the most of the stunning Auchen Castle grounds. From the castle front to the gardens, and even down to a little pond with a swing, every spot made for gorgeous photos. They even brought a tiny wedding cake and enjoyed a wee afternoon tea after their shoot.

Their elopement package included two hours of coverage, which gave us plenty of time for creative couple portraits. The lighting, colours, and outdoor scenery were perfect, and Nicole & Stephen’s quirky touches made every shot unique and playful.

Being part of Nicole & Stephen’s intimate elopement, and even being one of their witnesses, reminded me why elopements and micro weddings have my heart. They’re full of personality, joy, and meaningful memories – exactly what I love capturing.
