A Relaxed Start
Kelsie and Calvin were exactly the kind of couple I adore photographing: fun‑loving, laid‑back and totally focused on enjoying their day rather than worrying about every detail. From the moment I arrived at Balbirnie House, the vibe was easy‑going and full of smiles.
The Award-Winning Venue
Balbirnie House Hotel sits within 400 acres of beautiful parkland in Fife – a Georgian country house turned luxury hotel and wedding venue. With its elegant spaces, lush grounds and just the right blend of grandeur and comfort, it’s the kind of setting that helps everyone feel relaxed and ready to have fun.

Capturing Real Moments
Kelsie and Calvin weren’t big on being in front of the camera – but that’s where an experienced wedding photographer makes a huge difference. I guided them, helped them laugh, moved them gently into comfortable positions and before long they smashed it. The images show the relaxed smiles, the glances back and the genuine moments that aren’t forced.
Confetti & Group Shots
One of my favourite moments: after the ceremony, confetti in full flight with guests cheering, sunlight catching every bit of colour and joy. Then we gathered the gang for a classic group shot – which is important for the couple and their families. Simple, but meaningful.

Evening Vibes
As the day rolled on, the atmosphere stayed fun and relaxed. No unnecessary fuss, just good food, good people and good times. When Kelsie and Calvin were introduced into the meal, Fife Wedding Entertainments had the guests up dancing, standing on chairs and even throwing napkins around – exactly the kind of energy they bring to a wedding. The best thing about working with Fife Wedding Entertainments is how they get everyone in that party mood, both before the meal begins and later on during the evening party. Whether we were capturing the two of them laughing, chatting with friends, or simply soaking in the moment, the energy was spot-on.
Why It Worked
• The choice of venue was solid: beautiful setting, great light, lovely spaces.
• The couple let the day flow rather than forcing a rigid schedule.
• We kept the focus on them and their people, rather than chasing trends.
• They trusted me to capture real moments – and that freedom always leads to better photos.
Final Thoughts
Kelsie & Calvin – thanks for such a wonderful day. You brought the fun, you trusted the process, and the result is a beautiful collection of memories. If you look back on your gallery and feel all the laughter and all the happiest bits of the day, then that’s exactly what we aimed for.
