Getting Ready
Nichola got ready in the cute little cottage on site at Carlowrie Castle, surrounded by her best people – her mum, her sisters, and her two bridesmen. Meanwhile, Ross got ready nearby and arrived at the venue with his guys ahead of the ceremony. Everything felt calm and full of excitement – the kind that only a wedding day brings. We captured some beautiful, relaxed shots of Nichola getting ready with her favourite people.
First Time at Carlowrie
This was my first time photographing at Carlowrie Castle, and honestly, it’s an incredible venue. It’s so picturesque – the kind of place where every corner looks like it belongs on a postcard. The weather was perfect too, with bright skies and soft light that made the castle and gardens look even more beautiful.

Two Stunning Dresses
Nichola wore not one but two dresses. Her second, for the evening, was a breathtaking Vivienne Westwood number paired with Jimmy Choo shoes – effortlessly elegant. She looked incredible in both.
Second Photographer Magic
Nichola and Ross had added on a second photographer to capture Ross’s morning – his prep, the laughs with his groomsmen, and his arrival at the venue. It meant we got both sides of the morning story covered, which always adds that extra layer of storytelling to the gallery.

Elegant Florals
Jordana Events created the most elegant floral arrangements – clean white tones, pure and timeless, beautifully complementing the castle’s modern-classic vibe. Everything felt effortlessly stylish and sophisticated.
Ceremony Love
Their ceremony was led by Andrew Scott – full of love, laughter, and all the right emotions. Nichola also shared two special first looks before walking down the aisle: one with her dad, her mum and sisters, and one with her two bridesmen. Their dogs even joined in, wearing little tuxedos (thanks to The Dog Lady), and totally stole the show.
Confetti Perfection
After the ceremony, we headed outside for a confetti throw – and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best. Beautiful, heart-shaped confetti by Your Confetti floating through the air, the castle behind them, and everyone cheering – the perfect celebration shot (one of my favourite moments to capture).

Portraits & Castle Vibes
After confetti, we moved straight into group photos in front of the castle (Nichola’s request!) and then took a bit of time to explore the grounds for couple portraits. We wandered through the greenhouse, the gardens, and of course the front of the castle – because how could we not? The light was gorgeous, a bit harsh at times, but perfect for capturing those rich tones and beautiful emotion.
Greenhouse Goals
The greenhouse and gardens at Carlowrie Castle are honestly a dream. I’m such a sucker for spaces filled with colour and light, and this one ticked all the boxes. Greenery, and golden light – it’s the perfect backdrop for my bold style of photography.

Dinner & Beyond
The meal itself was incredible – genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had as a supplier. After dinner, Ross popped outside to greet the Highland coos (because how could you not?), and we captured some relaxed evening portraits before heading back in for their champagne tower, cake cut, first dance, and party.
What a Vibe
The whole day was full of joy, laughter, and colour – everything I love about weddings. Nichola and Ross are the kind of couple who make everyone feel at ease, and their day at Carlowrie Castle was pure magic from start to finish.
