I was buzzing for Christine & Phil’s wedding at Forrester Park Hotel in Dunfermline. Christine had been so excited in the run-up – we built such a lovely friendship before the big day – and I just knew it was going to be a good one. They told me they didn’t want anything fussy, just a laid-back day filled with fun, laughter, and their favourite people… and that’s exactly what they had.

THE FLYING VEIL
I was with them for full-day coverage, starting with the morning preparations. Everyone was relaxed, full of giggles, and the vibe never really changed all day. We had a few rain showers and some proper gusty wind, but honestly, the weather gave us some of the best moments. Christine wore a veil, and it was blowing all over the place during family photos – some of my favourite candid shots are from that bit. Proof that the Scottish weather can be your best friend sometimes!
GOLF CART ADVENTURES
Forrester Park Hotel is such a brilliant venue for couples who love the outdoorsy feel – it’s all on one level, set on a golf course, and you get those gorgeous views without having to leave the site. We grabbed a golf cart and headed up the course for couple portraits, chasing the sunshine between showers.
Christine was desperate to get photos on the famous golf course bridge (a must at Forrester Park weddings!) so of course we did that – but we also roamed around, found some incredible light pools, and had an absolute laugh in the golf cart. At one point Phil nearly drove us into a bunker, and honestly, we were all in hysterics. Those little unscripted moments are the ones I’ll remember forever.
BUBBLES & GOLDEN MAGIC
These two had bubble guns for a bubble blast after their ceremony – which was already a joy to photograph – but later in the evening, after dinner, the light was absolutely perfect. We stepped outside, they grabbed their bubble guns again, and we created some of my favourite images of the whole day. The colours were gorgeous, the light was glowing, and Christine & Phil just looked incredible together.

WHY I LOVE THIS VENUE
Because Forrester Park Hotel is a local Dunfermline wedding venue for me, I know it well, and every time I shoot there I find new little corners for photos. It’s one of those venues that feels both relaxed and elegant – a perfect match for couples like Christine & Phil who just want a laid-back day.
Their wedding day summed up exactly why I love doing what I do – no fuss, no stress, just pure joy and loads of laughter. Christine & Phil, you were a dream, and I’m so grateful I got to capture your story.
