If you’re after a wedding that mixes laid-back vibes, belly laughs, farm animals and bloody good pizza, Lauren & Pete’s day at Fruin Farm is going to be right up your street.

Tucked away near Loch Lomond, Fruin Farm is a total gem of a venue – think wide open skies, rolling Scottish hills, and a resident gang of llamas, alpacas and sheep ready to photobomb your portraits. It was the perfect spot for this relaxed, joy-filled day.

Lauren (Scottish) and Pete (Aussie!) are one of those couples who just radiate good energy. Their only brief to me was: “relaxed, candid, colourful” – aka my happy place. From the get-go it was clear this was all about having a good time with their people, in the sunshine, surrounded by animals, beers and good food.

Lauren carried the most vibrant bouquet from Vivienne Adams, bursting with sunflowers (my absolute fave!) – the perfect nod to the glorious weather we had all day long. Their ceremony was heartfelt but relaxed, followed by hilarious speeches, especially from Pete, whose storytelling had everyone in stitches.

Food-wise, they absolutely nailed it: a DIY grazing table full of pastries and sweet treats lovingly laid out by the bridal party that morning, and a post-ceremony feast from Pizza Geeks – guests grabbing slices, soaking up the sun in the garden, and just being together. No stress. No timelines. Just vibes.

Every part of the day reflected who they are: fun, thoughtful, and completely smitten with each other. And Fruin Farm? An absolute dream for couples after something rustic but not too rustic – with beautiful countryside, cute animals, and loads of space to do your wedding your way.
