Yesterday’s wedding at The Vu in Bathgate threw everything at us – torrential rain, howling winds, a snowstorm, and freezing temperatures. But did that stop my couple from braving the elements for some unforgettable outdoor photos? Not a chance.🤩

I’ll never forget how good a day this was at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh! The bridesmaids spent the entire day singing “The Sun Has Got Its Hat On” to keep the rain at bay – and it worked! We’d just wrapped up Fiona and Connor’s couple shots when the heavens opened into an absolute downpour. Talk about perfect timing!

Fiona and Connor were such an awesome pair – so chilled and laid-back! Their photos really capture how fun and relaxed their day was. Loved every moment of this one!

PHOTOS IN A BOX!!⚡️📦

When my couple came to me with this incredible idea for their wedding, I was instantly buzzing with excitement! They wanted something completely unique to entertain their guests, and this Photos in a Box setup delivered BIG time.

I roped in the help of my talented pal Rachel Spence Photography, and she set up this mini studio right at the venue, and the guests absolutely LOVED it. They popped their heads in, struck their best poses, and now have these amazing keepsake photos.

It was such a fun and creative way to bring everyone together, with plenty of laughs and unforgettable moments. Not your typical Photo Booth, right? This was pure entertainment, packed with personality, and totally different from anything I’ve seen at a wedding before!

My first time shooting at Pratis Barns, and as everyone kept saying, “Laura, you’ll love it” – they weren’t wrong! What an incredible venue, and what a day to match.

November weddings mean chasing that precious daylight, so I was absolutely buzzing that we managed to sneak outside for some snaps before it disappeared. Bonus points for the golden hour vibes we caught! And let’s be honest – you know it’s a great wedding when you end up with a mouth full of confetti!

It was such a treat to work alongside my pal @yvonnehannahcelebrant again, even if it feels like a rare luxury these days! Grateful for our little 5-minute catchups before the ceremony – it’s always a laugh.

WHAT A WEDDING, WHAT A COUPLE!

I’m still on such a high from Nicola and Chris’ amazing day at Crieff Hydro this weekend! Despite the torrential downpours, we managed to capture some epic shots, and I’m still pinching myself that we pulled it off!

One of my favourite moments was Nicola sharing a first look with her son Ethan – just the two of them, and oh my days, Ethan’s reaction had me all kinds of emotional! It was such a special moment I’ll never forget.

Don’t even get me started on the confetti throw – Nicola and Chris absolutely nailed it! I was buzzing the whole time – honestly, nothing compares to a good confetti throw! And check out the aftermath on Nicola’s dress train!

And can we talk about that dancefloor?! Not every band can fill a dancefloor like that, but when they do, it makes for the most epic action shots of everyone throwing their best dance moves! I’m so lucky to have met this wonderful couple – Nicola and Chris, you are truly incredible!

Nicola & Chris tied the knot at Crieff Hydro on Saturday, and what a BANGER of a day it was! I’ve had couples tell me I bring good weather with me, and we completely lucked out on this one. We faced torrential rain, sleet, and hail, but just after the ceremony, the skies cleared up perfectly for confetti and group shots! Talk about LUCK!!👏🏼

If anyone deserves some sunshine on their big day, it’s these two. From the moment Nicola booked me, she’s been absolutely incredible, taking on board every bit of advice I’ve given – including where to buy the best confetti. And let me tell you, she definitely got the confetti memo! The more, the merrier, right?🤩

🌌 AURORA – 10.10.24 🌌

Last night at 20:52 (yes, I checked the time!), I ventured out to my local park in my PJs for the first time ever to photograph the aurora! I’ve always wanted to snap a wee pic for the memory, but let’s be honest, if it’s past 8pm, I’m usually too lazy to leave the house.😂

There’s something oddly cool about standing in the pitch dark, surrounded by this insane natural beauty, right in your own neighbourhood. It felt like a proper wee community event too – people walking their dogs while aurora spotting like it’s the most casual thing in the world!😅
